1
Create a good learning environment. Set everything up, meaning your computer is on and ready, with your Flash 8 software installed and open. Flash 8 is not an easy program to master, and it will take considerable concentration. Clear your work area of clutter and prevent unwanted noise before proceeding.

Flash 8 is a creation of Adobe. Adobe has created a variety of helpful online tutorials to aid the mastering of its programs, including Flash. Go to www.Adobe.com and click on "Flash Professional" in the bottom left-hand corner box.

You should now be on the main Flash page. Look at the bottom of the page. There are several Flash 8 tutorials there. Click on "Flash in a Flash." This is a great beginner's tutorial, since it walks one through a single project, teaching the program's fundamentals, like working with symbols, creating animations, controlling animations, adding audio and creating buttons.

4
Return to the main Flash page again. Look down at the tutorials list. Each one addresses a separate Flash 8 skill. Go through the list, one at a time, successfully completing each tutorial.
-
5
Now that you've completed all of the free tutorials listed on Adobe's official Flash 8 page, examine your own software. Flash 8 typically comes with an additional disc containing tutorials. Insert the disc into your computer and go through each tutorial. These tutorials are generally quite long - hours - but will go into great detail. Once you've completed the online and software tutorials, you'll be qualified to say, "I know how to use Flash 8."
