How to Finger Skateboard

Fingerboarding, or finger skateboarding, is an activity in which a person uses his or her fingers to maneuver a miniaturized skateboard. Finger skateboarding can be a way for you to pass the time when your bored or perform mock skateboarding tricks with your finger. You can also use finger skateboarding as a way to visualize and practice tricks and other moves that you may want to attempt on a real skateboard at a later time.

  1. How to Finger Skateboard

      Begin by learning which fingers to use while learning to finger skateboard. The index and middle fingers of your dominant hand are the two you will need to use while attempting to finger skateboard.

      Find a flat surface, such as a table, to practice your finger skateboarding.

      Place your fingers on the finger skateboard. Place your middle finger on the tail of the finger skateboard. Then, position your index finger on the middle of the fingerboard. The index finger should be at the midway point between the two sets of wheels found on the finger skateboard.

      Bend your fingers just slightly so that the tips of your fingers are controlling the finger skateboard. When you do this, your finger tips should still be parallel to the ground.

      Push the finger skateboard back and forth using your hand and arm. You should mimic a waving motion while moving the finger skateboard. Keep your fingers in the starting position while moving the fingerboard back and forth.

      Learn to Ollie on your finger skateboard. Performing an Ollie on the finger skateboard is a basic trick and will enhance your finger skateboarding experience. To Ollie on the finger skateboard, roll back slightly and then press down with your middle finger to pop the tail of the finger skateboard. As you do this, lift your index finger slightly so that it is just off of the skateboard. The board will then lift off the ground. Place the index finger back to the starting position and bring your hand back down to complete the Ollie.
