Techniques for removing chemical odors depend on the material containing the smell. Clothing requires special care, while odors in the air, on carpet or household furniture might be removed with varying methods.
Step 1
Buy an electronic air purifier with an electromagnetic or carbon filter to remove chemical odors and other impurities from the air. Look for a model easy to clean, with a filter that slides out from the top for rinsing under the sink and wiping dry with paper towels. Air purifiers are especially useful if you live near industrial sites and food processing facilities.
