Step 1
Respect all life. You may not respect the actions of some people or their choices, but that doesn't give you the right to disrespect them. Realize that life is precious no matter what level or form. From ants to elephants, and in every person, all life should be cherished and respected.
-
Step 2
Relieve your stress. Stress and worry can physically manifest itself in the form of cancer, headaches, and other bodily ailments. Finding a stress buster that you can do will help you to live gracefully and more happily. Whether you relieve stress through painting, singing, exercise, or talking, it is critical to find a way to let the stress go.
-
Step 3
Practice what you preach. Grace can only come to you when you exhibit the morals that you expect from others. Remembering the golden rule that requires you to treat others as you want to be treated will help you to grow in grace when living up to the standards you teach to others.
-
Step 4
Live in serenity with the situation in which you find yourself. Peace with yourself and those around you allows for the emergence of soul and grace. Mercy cannot be extended to you if you do not extend mercy to others. We are known by our actions, and if we do not promote peace in our own surroundings, grace can't be given to us.
-
Step 5
Find strength in numbers. Strength to maintain your spiritual and physical growth in grace should be multiplied and renewed at a place of comfortable faith practice. Being around others whose struggle may be the same may help to motivate you to continue your walk in grace.
-
Step 6
Protect your temple. Our bodies are our physical representation of our spiritual temples and should be taken care of in a literal sense. Taking care of your physical body through practicing healthy habits is the true start of charity.
