The Nissan Maxima is produced with a factory stereo receiver and speakers in the front and rear doors. Owners who want to improve the quality of the sound system will often replace the factory speakers with higher-performance speakers from aftermarket companies. To replace the factory speakers, and install new speakers in a Maxima, it's necessary to disassemble the door panels. But the average do-it-yourselfer doesn't need to fear the job if they have some basic tools and instructions to follow.

Tips & Warnings
  • When removing small parts, like screws and bolts, place them in a small cup as you go along. That way you're much less likely to lose them.

on 9/15/2009 Try to use Nissan speaker adapter plugs so you don't need to cut the wires and mess the electric system up. You can get them from Ebay or Amazon
