How to Convert AUD to WAV
Many computer game publishers use the .aud file format for the music and audio files included with their games. If you want to export those sound files to a .wav format so that you can more easily burn them to CDs or listen to them on your computer, you'll need special software. Fortunately, a free and simple piece of freeware has been developed specifically for this type of conversion.

Open your Web browser and navigate to the download location for AUD2WAV, the free conversion software. A link to the download page can be found in the Resources section. On this page, click the "Download" link under the AUD2WAV heading and save the file to your desktop.

Double-click the .zip file you downloaded to your desktop. A folder will open containing a file named "aud2wav.exe." Drag this file to the desktop.

Double-click "aud2wav.exe" on the desktop to launch the converter.

Click the "Add .aud files" button. In the window that pops up, navigate to the directory containing your .aud files. If you just want to convert one file, double-click the file. If you want to convert multiple files, hold down the "Ctrl" key as you click each file you want to convert; then click the "Open" button.

Click the "Convert" button. You'll see a status bar showing you how far along you are in the conversion process; wait for this bar to fill up and disappear.

Find your converted .wav files on your desktop. If you wish, drag and drop them into a different folder.
