You can make an angel for a bracelet by using a few specially shaped beads and accessories to form the different body parts. A flower cone bead makes a great skirt; angel wing beads take care of the wings; a pearl makes a nice, round head; and a bead cap can serve as the halo. A headpin brings all the components together into a tiny little angel you can then string on a bracelet chain for your very own beaded angel bracelet.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2-inch headpins Flower cone beads, approximately 8.5 mm by 6.5 mm Angel wing beads, approximately 12 mm by 7 mm 6 mm light-colored pearl beads Small bead caps Jewelry tools: round-nose pliers, needle-nose pliers Jump rings 7.5 inches of wide-link bracelet chain 1 lobster clasp

Slide a bead cap (inverted so it sits like a bowl on top of the pearl) onto the headpin. This creates the angel's halo.

  6. Step 6

Use the round-nose pliers to bend the headpin wire to a 90-degree angle approximately 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch above the bead cap, then curve the wire up and over the top jaw of the round-nose pliers to create a loop.

  7. Step 7

Continue bending the wire around the pliers, rotating the pliers as necessary, until the wire forms a loop and crosses itself.

  8. Step 8

Grab the end of the wire with the needle-nose pliers and wrap it around the wire stem below the loop. This creates a wrapped loop.

  9. Step 9

Use the needle-nose pliers to gently squeeze the wrapped wire, pressing the wire end close to the wrapped loop coil.

  10. Step 10

Repeat steps 2 to 9 to create as many angels as you would like on your bracelet.

  11. Step 11

Twist open one jump ring for each angel and attach the angels to the bracelet chain.

  12. Step 12

Use a jump ring to attach the lobster clasp to one end of the bracelet chain. The clasp will hook on to any chain link at the opposite end to create an adjustable-size bracelet.

Tips & Warnings
  • Experiment with different-colored flower cone beads and different angel wing beads to create different beaded angels. Use more than one flower cone bead to give your angel a longer skirt. Attach a beaded angel to an earring wire for a quick pair of matching earrings.
