How to Make Norton Antivirus 2007 Vista Compatible

Norton Antivirus is produced by the Symantec Corporation. Norton AntiVirus is distributed both online as well as through box distribution that can be bought at consumer electronics stores. Norton antivirus is produced for both Windows and MAC OS X operating systems. When Windows Vista was released, Norton Antivirus 2007 was not initially compatible with the Operating System because of the original loads of Vista being 64 bit applications, while Norton Antivirus 2007 was a 32 bit program.

Instructions

1. Navigate your web browser to the Norton Antivirus downloads website listed in the resources of this article.

2. Select "Norton Antivirus" from the drop down menu labeled "product."

3. Select "2007" from the drop down menu labeled "version" and choose the "continue" menu button.

4. Left click the version of 2007 to download to your computer. It should be the same version that you purchased which is not working with VISTA. Select the "next" menu buttons to install the new version of Norton Antivirus 2007 on your computer.

5. Open Norton Antivirus 2007 and select the subscription menu button. Choose the option tab that states "restore my product key." Enter your 25 digit product key from the previous purchase of Norton Antivirus 2007, and it will now work with Windows Vista.
