How to Use a Griffin iTrip
The Griffin iTrip is a small accessory for an Apple iPod, but produces big sound. When plugged into the audio output socket of any iPod (except the Shuffle)--usually where the headphones are inserted--the Griffin iTrip broadcasts the audio output to an open FM radio frequency. With a range of approximately 15 feet, it can be used with your car radio or a household radio. Practical, cost-efficient and easy to use, the Griffin iTrip is a must-have for your iPod.

1
Plug the Griffin iTrip into the iPod. It will plug directly into the small headphone jack or the slot for the USB cable. When correctly connected, the iTrip converts the audio output into a radio signal and sends it to an open frequency. The radio station the iTrip is broadcasting to will appear on the iPod screen.

Turn your car or home radio to an unused FM station. When you have found a free station, tune the iTrip to the same station. The iTrip defaults to 87.9 and 107.9, but any free station will work. You may have to try a few stations before you get a quality sound, depending on your area.

When you get a clear sound, store that station on your iTrip. Hold down the numbered buttons on the iTrip until you hear a quiet beep telling you the number is stored.
