Step 1
Planning for a picnic takes several things even before you start packing and leaving the house. Ask the people who will be going on the picnic with you, what they do not like to eat. You can avoid those things and plan and pack wonderful items everyone will enjoy. It is easier knowing the things to avoid putting in your picnic basket.
-
Step 2
Look to bring plates, cups, napkins and utensils for each person you have invited to the picnic. Bring along a moist towelette for washing the hands before the eating begins. These can be put into a zip lock bag and given to everyone after the volleyball game is over and just before grace is said for sharing the food.
-
Step 3
Bring large water containers so each person has liquid to drink. There are individual packets of powder sold in the beverage section of your grocery store than can be added to a cup of water. These flavor packets can be easily added for a lemonade or iced tea flavor.
-
Step 4
Make sure you have enough sandwiches or cooked chicken for everyone. Pack as if you will be planning on an extra person so you will not run out of food. The outdoors seems to increase an appetite.

on 7/6/2009 Our family loves picnics. I especially like step 3. The powered drink idea will help us lighten the load when going on a picnic.
