Elephant ears are a delicious pastry always found at fairs. I'm sure there's a few way to make them. Here I'll tell you how to make an elephant ears using tortilla shells.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • tortilla shells
  • cinnamon sugar
  • cooking spray
  • pan
  1. Step 1

Get your ingredients together and a frying pan. It's up to you what size you want to make your elephant ear.

  2. Step 2

Put a little bit of cooking oil or spray in the pan.

  3. Step 3

Put the pan on medium heat.

  4. Step 4

Place your tortilla shell in the pan and sprinkle cinnamon and sugar all over it. Let it cook until the tortilla shells starts to bubble a bit, but make sure you are checking the bottom of the tortilla frequently to avoid burning it.

  5. Step 5

When the tortilla shell is browned to your liking take a spatula and flip it over. Sprinkle more cinnamon and sugar all over it. Again, let it cook for a few minutes and then start checking the bottom of the tortilla shell for brownness. It should be nice and crisp and bubbly by now.

  6. Step 6

Once the tortilla shell is completely browned to your liking, turn off the heat and serve up your tortilla shell turned elephant ear. Delicious! My kids LOVE these.
