Step 1
The number one key to prevention and getting rid of athlete’s foot is to keep your feet dry. Let your feet air out do not keep them enclosed in socks and shoes all the time. Your feet need air they need to breathe, and stay dry.

Choose proper shoes; do not wear the same shoes too many times in a row. If you must wear the same shoes several days in a row, add a little baby powder to your shoes. Baking soda and cornstarch also work to absorb moisture.

Remove dead skin cells from your feet. Keeping toenails clean and having pedicures at least once a month can help get rid of athlete’s foot. Cannot have a pedicure give your self one at home by having regular foot soaks with an antiseptic foot soak solution in water. Be sure to dry your feet well after the foot soak.
