How to Delete Your Gmail Account
It is possible for you to delete your free Gmail Google Account at any time you wish. By doing so, you will permanently remove the Google products associated with that account, you will be unable to access that email account and you will be unable to reuse your Gmail username. Once you set your Gmail account for deletion, Google will remove it and your mailbox contents within two business days.

Sign in to your Gmail account.

Click on your email address on the top right edge of the screen.

Click "Account Settings."

Go to the "My Products" section and click on "Edit."

Click "Remove Gmail Permanently."

Check the box next to "Yes, I want to permanently delete [username]@gmail.com and remove it from my Google Account."

Enter an alternate email address to use with your Google Account. Type your Google Account password.
