Take a look at yourself, what you have done for your community, your health and the environment. Whole Foods cares about those causes, establishing a set of six core values that encompass its mission. Get to know these values and assess whether you truly embrace them. If you do, be sure to talk that up in your interview.

Go to your local Whole Foods. Find out what it is doing in the community. Check the different departments and discover what each offers. Talk to some of the team members (what employees are called) and ask about their individual jobs and how they got hired. Get a good sense of the store, its team members and customers. While you're there, stop at the customer service desk to inquire if openings exist or when they will arise.

Check their online list of available jobs daily and apply for suitable vacancies. You can also apply at store computer kiosks, job fairs or on career websites. Don't be afraid to display persistence as long as you are not annoying. Some have an interview or two but then must wait for a suitable opening, sometimes months. If this happens, remain in contact with store leadership. In the end, you will perhaps receive another interview and ultimately a job.
