Step 1
Share a cooking class with your child/children. Allow them to learn the basics of cooking from a professional chef. Focus on classes that cover safety in the kitchen, wisdom in shopping, and healthy cooking. Help them to learn to cook for one or for a family. Invite some of your children’s friends to take the class also.
-
Step 2
Enroll yourself and a loved one in a cooking course that trains you to complete meals from start to finish within a hour’s time or less. Parent’s can also invite adult children or vice versa.
-
Step 3
Consider classes that focus on making wonderful salads that will be suitable and tasty during any season of the year. This would also be a great class for those watching their weight.
-
Step 4
Surprise your spouse or significant other with a course in preparing romantic meals for two. Dress up and make it a date night. But be sure to follow through and put what you learn to good use by preparing those romantic meals together or for one another.
-
Step 5
Take the entire family to a cooking class that teaches not only how to use kitchen utensils, but also trains the cooking students how to use a kitchen knife with skill and expertise. Learn such kitchen techniques as chopping, slicing, mincing, dicing, etc. All of these techniques are useful in preparing those extra special meal creations.
-
Step 6
Make Dad the centre of attention. Get him in on cooking classes that will help him to learn a new cooking skill or enhance his grilling and barbecuing skills.
-
Step 7
Learn to make fancy desserts for those special holiday occasions. This is a class everyone will love!
-
Step 8
Find out about foods and meal selections from other countries. Also learn about the spices which are used to season their food. Be prepared to prepare a meal from your favorite foreign country.
-
Step 9
Follow through by using the skills you have learned. Cook more meals together at home with your loved ones.
