How to Remove an Iron Stain From Concrete
Unattractive iron stains on driveways, patios and sidewalks can be removed without using harsh chemicals which might be harmful to the environment. A laundry product found in most grocery stores will gently fight this eyesore. Does this Spark an idea?

Mix a solution of 2 to 2 1/2 ounces of washing soda per gallon of hot water. Washing soda is not to be confused with baking soda. It is in the same family, but washing soda, or sodium carbonate, is much more caustic. Arm and Hammer brand washing soda can be found in the laundry detergent section of most grocery stores.

Tips & Warnings
Pick a cool time of day for this project, such as early morning. Using a long-handled brush for scrubbing is easier on the back.
Use gloves when handling the washing soda. Follow all safety instructions on cement sealant product container.
