How to Motivate Men as Christians
Christian men have many different forces pulling on them that can distract them from their walk. Financial responsibility and social acceptance make it harder for you to stay the course when trying to motivate these men in their Christianity. Religious beliefs don't have to be a stumbling block, rather a source of strength that can be used to unite and motivate Christian men every day.

1
Use your personal example. Nothing gets through to another person like using your own personal experiences and choices. Whether bad or good, they can be used as a tool for Christian men to learn from you.
-
2
Gather the men together. Surrounding them with other Christian men who are going through similar struggles will give them others to lean on. Hold group meetings that are just for men within your church to allow them the freedom to communicate and learn amongst themselves. This will help you to keep them motivated while building healthy relationships that will reinforce their faith.

3
Teach them Christian doesn't mean boring. Restrictions can be deflating when you are teaching Christian men about God's requirements of them. Instead of simply letting them know what they can't do, let them know what they can do to have fun. Specify areas such as dating, marriage, sex and other social behaviors that are acceptable to their beliefs.
-
4
Show them what they can obtain. Motivation often comes when you have a goal in mind and know the reward of meeting that goal. Showing each of the men how they will benefit by being faithful to God and His expectations will give them something to work for.
-
5
Encourage them regularly. A kind word or recognition and encouragement can go a long way. When they are going through trials this will help lift their spirits. Many times this is just what they need to strengthen their resolve and press through a situation.

Tips & Warnings
Making your meeting of Christian men like an exclusive club membership will help keep interest in attendance. Starting a sports league or playing games and offering incentives for attendance will keep men motivated to be involved. Planning a men's retreat can also be helpful when trying to motivate them.
Before starting any group, meeting or league, ensure you get the proper clearance of your church through the pastor and church secretaries or treasurers. This will make sure everything is done in decency and order without causing confusion.
