How to Remove Trojan Horse Downloader.Small.18.T
The Downloader.Small.18.T Trojan, which also goes by a large number of other similar names, is a malicious program that infiltrates your computer when you open an infected file. The Trojan changes many of your computer's features, such as its wallpaper, Internet home page and even the icons on the desktop. It will also periodically download other malicious programs to your hard drive. You will need to prevent the Trojan from opening its files and then use an antivirus tool to fully remove it.

Access the link in the Resources section for the AVG Anti-Virus program. Download the AVG program's installation file if your computer doesn't already have an antivirus program. Open the file and then follow the installation instructions on the screen.

Press the "Enter" key and then wait for the computer to finish reloading with Safe Mode turned on. Open up the AVG Anti-Virus program or whatever antivirus tool you already have on your computer.

Exit the antivirus program and then return to the "System Protection" window. Turn the System Restore feature back on by clicking on each of the check boxes underneath the "Automatic System Restore" heading. Restart your computer to finish removing the Downloader.Small.18.T Trojan from your machine.

Tips & Warnings
Previous versions of the Microsoft Windows operating system, such as Windows XP or earlier, have the "System Restore" feature in a different location. Proceed to the "System Protection" window, but then click on the "System Restore" tab. Click on the "Turn Off System Restore" link and then choose "OK."
If you do not restart your operating system with Safe Mode enabled, the Trojan will be able to download another copy of its main executable file when you start the virus scan.
