How to Install Adobe Camera Raw CS3

Adobe is an industry leader in the world of creative software. From video editing and sound design to photo retouching and web creation, Adobe has its bases covered. Many of their software packages include other programs not available for sale by themselves. Camera Raw CS3 is one of these programs. Camera Raw CS3 provides camera support for Adobe programs which import images. These Adobe programs are: Creative Suite, Photoshop, Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements. Things You'll Need:

• Computer Creative Suite CS3, Photoshop CS3, Photoshop Elements 5.0 or Premiere Elements 3.0 installation disk.

The Steps

1. Insert the Adobe Program installation disk into the computer. Click "Next" when the installation wizard appears.

2. Select your desired language and click "Next."

3. Agree to the license agreement and click "Next." You will not be allowed to install the the Adobe program without agreeing.

4. Type in your name, company (if applicable) and serial number. The serial number can be found on the installation disk's case.

5. Click "Next." after viewing the installation location. You can change this by click "Browse" and typing your desired destination, however the default settings are recommended.

6. Choose between "Typical Installation" and "Custom Installation." Typical installs everything associated with the program, while custom allows you to pick and choose what is installed. Typical installation is recommended. The installation will begin once you make this selection.

7. Click "OK" when the installation completes. You will then be asked if you want to install any additional software included with the Adobe Product. This is where Adobe Camera Raw is. Click "Yes" and Camera Raw CS3 will being its installation.

8. Click "Finish" when the installation completes. You may need to restart your computer.

Tips & Warnings

• Adobe Camera Raw CS3 is not available for purchase by itself and only comes included with other Adobe products. However, there are several updates for the software. The latest update can be found below in the References section.
