Have you ever wanted to call someone, but did not want them to see your telephone number? Well, now you can. Using a caller ID change company, such as Spoof Card, you can now change your caller ID display. One of the many reasons why you may want to change your caller ID display is to protect your privacy. According to Spoof Card, for example, "business professionals such as doctors can return calls using their personal telephones without disclosing phone numbers they prefer to keep private." Below are some tips on how to change your caller ID display.

Instructions

The Steps

1. 

   Purchase minutes at www.spoofcard.com. Use PayPal or a credit card, such as Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover. Choose the amount of minutes that you need. Minutes come in increments of 60, 120, 240 or 480 minutes.

2. 

   Check your email. After you purchase your minutes, Spoofcard will email you a nine-digit PIN, along with a toll free number to place your call.

3. 

   Place your call and enter your nine-digit PIN. You can make your call via the Spoof Card website or by dialing the toll free telephone number provided in your email.

4. 

   Enter the telephone number of the party you wish to contact, when prompted. International telephone numbers do not work with Spoof Card.

5. 

   Enter the 10-digit number that you want to show up on the party's caller ID display. According to Spoof Card, "Not only will the number show up but also the Name registered for that number would automatically appear." For example, if you dial (123) 456-789 and that number belongs to John Doe, that is what will show up on the party's caller ID display. (See Frequently Asked Questions for Quote.)

• Keep your PIN in a safe place; you will need it to make phone calls and to access your Spoof Card account.
