1. Work on your figure. Glamour models usually measure about 34 inches at the chest, 24 inches at the waist and 22 to 34 inches at the hips. Some women aren't capable of achieving this body shape, so check with your physician first in order to see whether or not this goal is practical.

2. Set up a photo shoot with a professional photographer. Wear as little makeup as possible. Modeling agencies want to see your natural beauty. Dress in simple, solid colored clothing that fits properly and shows off your figure in a flattering way. Ask the photographer to make several head and full body shots to choose from.

3. Create a digital portfolio online and a physical portfolio you can take with you to interviews. Your portfolio should include at least two head shots, a body shot and your best poses. Provide a resume that includes your name, contact information and any modeling related experience.

4. Contact local modeling agencies to ask if they are accepting new applicants. Make sure the agencies are legitimate. Expect to pay for additional portfolio photographs, but you should never have to pay a fee for the agency to represent you.

5. Join modeling websites which allow you to network with other models and photographers. This is a great way to get tips and advice from other models.
