How to Use IrfanView to Edit Pictures
One of the more tedious tasks faced by a webmaster or someone who works with a large number of photos is making edits to a large number of photos at one time. It can be a time-consuming task to open each file, make the changes, save the file and then, move on to the next file. IrfanView, a free software program, is designed to make basic edits to multiple files all at once. It's a great time-saver and an efficient way to resize, rotate, rename, crop, convert colors and make basic enhancements to a whole group of photos at the same time.

Tips & Warnings
Practice using the software on smaller batches until you get used to all of the features. A batch runs pretty quickly, and you may find that you don't like some of your results or that you've made an error to your selections and need to try the batch again. The IrfanView software has tools for creating CDs and slideshows of your photos and a number of other handy tools. If you find this a useful program, consider making a donation to the creator of the program.
Editing files in a batch process can be very efficient, but it can lead to unintentional problems that cannot be undone. Always keep a backup of your original files so that you don't make an irreparable change to your source files.
