For some, email is a vital element of communication at work and home. Many people use their BlackBerry Curve's email features as a way to stay in touch. From time to time, it may be necessary to edit the options on these accounts. Changing the email settings on a BlackBerry Curve requires only a few simple steps.

      Select the "Email Settings" icon on the BlackBerry's home screen. You'll be given the option to add an email account to your phone.

      Add any existing Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail or other account by providing the email address and password. Once you submit them, the phone will create an inbox icon for each account on the home screen. These boxes are where your incoming emails will be stored.

      Edit the settings of an email account by selecting the "Email Settings" icon. Select the "Edit" link under the email address you want to change. You'll be taken to a screen where you can edit the email address, reply-to address, name, password and signature of the selected email account.

      Leave the "deleted items" option checked if you want to delete emails from your phone and have them removed from the email account. When you access your email from a computer, the deleted emails will be in the "Trash" folder.
