  1. How to Make Lemon Maple Syrup for A Detox Diet

    • 1

Assemble your four ingredients for the detox diet and get out a pitcher.

    • 2

Squeeze two tablespoons of lemon juice into your container. Use the real juice of an organically grown lemon. Do not use bottled juice.

    • 3
      Cayenne pepper

Add one-tenth of a teaspoon of cayenne pepper. This is approximately a quick dash. If you don't like drinking juices with an extra kick, you can leave the cayenne pepper out of the recipe and instead buy cayenne pepper capsules from a health foods store.

    • 4
      Maple syrup from a tree

Pour in the two tablespoons of maple syrup. In order for this concoction to be most effective, use authentic maple syrup. To top off the detox diet juice, add the water.

    • 5

Using the stirring spoon, blend well. This makes one serving. Simply double and triple the amounts of the ingredients to make a larger batch of the cayenne, maple syrup and lemon cleanse.

Tips & Warnings

  • Because the ingredients can go bad, it's not wise to make more than one day's serving in advance.

  • As with any drastic diet changes, consult with your physician to make sure you you are still meeting your nutritional requirements. If you feel faint, dizzy, light-headed or you have serious stomach cramps, discontinue the detox diet immediately.
