Things You'll Need:
- Storage rack or cabinet
-
Step 1
Store wine glasses upright, just as when the glass is being used. Placing the wine glass in this position prevent chips and cracks in the crystal.
-
Step 2
Provide space between wine glasses. Allow the glasses room to breathe. Giving each wine glass a little space prevents cracking and chips. If your space is limited, think about alternating every other glass stem down. Do not try this technique with fine, old or delicate crystal.
-
Step 3
Consider a wine glass rack. Storing wine glasses in a rack or cabinet offers better protection than a box or bin. Crystal wine glasses can absorb the odors of a cardboard box and contaminate the wine. Placing wine glasses in a wine glass rack provides a convenient place to put the glasses after washing and makes a beautiful display.
-
Step 4
Rotate wine glasses. Move wine glasses to the back of the cabinet or rack after each use. Grab wine glasses to use from the front each time. Rotating wine glasses prevents the deterioration of the glass and can extend the life of the wine glass.
