The iPod Touch was designed by Apple as an alternative to and meeting of the traditional iPod and the iPhone. Combining the media playing capabilities of the iPod with the games, Internet connection and touch screen of the iPhone, the iPod Touch has expanded to include a number of customizations that can be purchased, downloaded or transferred to your phone easily through iTunes.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Download iTunes (its free) from the official Apple site to configure customizations on your iPod Touch.

  2. Step 2

Click iTunes Store on the side menu of your iTunes to search for songs, videos, television shows, movies, pictures, applications and games to add to your iPod Touch. Have your credit card or an iTunes card ready to pay or redeem for these additions. Also, you can access the Internet from your iPod Touch and click the AppStore or iTunes tabs to search for games, songs and applications on your phone. Click them and click Install to download them.

  3. Step 3

If you first searched the iTunes store for potential downloads, connect your iPod Touch to your computer using the Apple USB cable. Click Sync on your iTunes to transfer all of your extras and customizations to your iPod Touch.

  4. Step 4

Click the Photos tab on your iPod Touch and select a picture you have added to your phone and tap Use as Wallpaper to add the picture to your phone's home screen.

  5. Step 5

Search the Apple website for colorful covers or sleeves for your iPod Touch to protect it and give it some personalization.
