The Garmin Nuvi 250W is one in a long line of popular Global Positioning System (GPS) products released by Garmin, a leader in GPS technology. With the ability to find route locations from nearly anywhere in the United States and select locations around the world, the Nuvi 250W is essential for travelers, commuters and those travelers who are bad with directions.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Flip up the antenna on the back of your Nuvi 250W, plug it into a power outlet and turn your device on. Tap the "Menu" option on the home Map page and tap "Where To" to enter your destination.

  2. Step 2

Tap "Address" and select the region or ZIP code of your destination. Enter the state, city, street number and street name of the address of your location and tap "Go." A route of your destination will be mapped from your current location. You will be given information on traffic, distance, direction and expected arrival time.

  3. Step 3

Tap the "+" or "-" options to enlarge or shrink the map. Touch an object on the map to route its location as a detour. Press "Save" to save a location to your Favorites.
