How to Win Full Tilt Poker Tournaments

  1. Step 1

Go to www.fulltiltpoker.com and start playing. All players start with $1,500 in chips and the last nine players make it to the final table. Play "tight" (little or no bluffing) in the beginning and middle of the tournament. Don't get sucked into an early "all-in" call pre-flop for any reason. Bet stronger with great hands (two pair or better) after the flop.

  2. Step 2

Start mixing up bets at the midway point. Continue to stay out of pre-flop wars. Bet stronger on lesser hands once the tournament gets past the halfway mark. Set traps for the other poker players by slow playing a winning hand until the final round of betting.

  3. Step 3

Let go of a losing hand early. Wait to bluff at the final table. By playing tight throughout the tournament you establish that you only bet on the best hand. This forces other players to fold with a better hand than they normally would.

  4. Step 4

Play aggressively at the final table. Mix up betting pre-flop to throw off other players. Bet very aggressively after the flop to intimidate players with lesser hands or those who play tight to the end. Study the other poker players' betting strategies and throw them off by forcing them to bet more than normal. Fold to aggressive players unless the river gives you a huge hand.

  5. How to Win at Table Play

  6. Step 1

Play the first few hands tight to get the feel of the table players. Leave the table if a player is extremely aggressive. Watch the other players at the table to get a feel for their betting styles.

  7. Step 2

Set traps for betters to fall into by betting low on winning hands until the river hits. This should only be done with a straight or better to protect your own winnings. Fold early to flush draws that you have no part of.

  8. Step 3

Mix up betting from aggressive to tight regularly. Don't let other players figure out your betting style. Bet pre-flop for a few hands, then play tight for a few. Always play out the likely winning hands; those above three of a kind.

  9. Step 4

Change tables often. Avoid letting other players becoming used to your style of poker. Choose a table with at least four other poker players; the more players, the more money can be won.

Tips & Warnings
  • Keep a poker hand tip sheet next to you if necessary. Setting a trap means to bet low on a probable winning hand until the turn or river card, or to "check-raise" other players. Follow the betting without raising, or only make minimum raises to show your interest in the hand. This will lure other players to call you as they assume you are still fishing for a card.
  • Start with free play until you fully understand the site and the rules. Always gamble responsibly.
