How to Use Video Effects with a Logitech QuickCam Messenger

The Logitech QuickCam Messenger is a webcam designed for use with Windows operating systems. The QuickCam Messenger is used to take digital photographs and to record or broadcast video and audio. The QuickCam Messenger has a built-in microphone for capturing audio. The QuickCam Messenger webcam installs with Logitech QuickCam software, and supports the "Fun Filter" video effect. QuickCam software provides the interface you need to use video effects with a Logitech QuickCam Messenger webcam.

Instructions

1. On your PC, click Start > All Programs > Logitech > Logitech QuickCam. This opens the QuickCam Software window.

2. Click the "Masks" icon in the QuickCam Software window. This opens the Video Effects window.

3. Click Fun Filter in the drop-down list of video effects in the Video Effects window. You can see what the Fun Filter effect will look like in the preview pane at the top of the Video Effects window.

4. Click the green triangular button next to the preview pane to apply the Fun Filter effect. This closes the Video Effects window.

5. View the Fun Filter effect as you take pictures, record videos, or make video calls. The Fun Filter effect will apply to all activities with your QuickCam Messenger webcam.
