How to Install an NEC Projector Bulb

NEC, like most other powerhouse projector manufacturers, make their units simple enough for some user friendly maintenance, while not compromising on quality. Changing the Bulb

Turn off your NEC projector and allow it a minute to cool down. Place a cloth or towel over your work surface, and then set the projector upside down on the surface.

Remove the cover to your projector's bulb--the bulb will be housed at the bottom of your upright NEC and covered be a small plate. Use a screwdriver to remove the screw securing the bulb cover to the outer casing of the projector.

Remove the cover to expose the bulb, then remove the two screws on the securing the sides of the bulb to the interior of the projector--carefully lift the bulb up and out of the projector when the screws have been removed.

Carefully lower the new bulb into the socket previously occupied by the old bulb--firmly press the bulb into the socket.

Secure the bulb. Reinstall the screws from the previous bulb to the screws holes on the sides of the new bulb. Replace the projector's bulb cover and screws.
