Paint your wooden die-cut leaves. They can be painted one solid color (recommended a rust or brown) or multiple colors to resemble the leaves as they would be in nature. Place some of each color of paint on a plate. Dip a sponge or brush into each color and dab onto the wood leaf. Do not brush the paint on, as it may turn muddy. Dabbing will allow each color to remain separate yet blend together. Paint both sides and allow to dry. This is the base of your place card holder

  2. Step 2

Find two pine cones similar in size. Hot glue the first pine cone so that it stands vertically near the back of the leaf. Hot glue the second pine cone so it rests horizontally in front of the first, with a slight space between the two pine cones.

  3. Step 3

Hot glue one to two acorns in front of the first pine cone. Add additional decorations if desired.

  4. Step 4

Write name of guest on place card. Once holder is dry, slide card between the two pine cones and set at the table.
