If you happened to find a beautiful photograph or picture online that you want to place on a T-shirt, but are not able to save a copy of it to your computer, there is an easy way to copy the photograph by using the "Print Screen" button on your computer. By using "Print Screen," you can make as many different "Print Screen" T-shirt designs you want, which you can upload to a print-on-demand company for printing.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Adobe Photoshop Home computer Internet access PC
  1. Step 1

Purchase the Adobe Photoshop program, and install it onto your home computer. If you are going to be using the "Print Screen" option, you will need a PC computer. Adobe Photoshop can be bought online at the Adobe website (See References Below), or purchased at any computer software store. Follow the installation instructions carefully, which are located inside the software box.

  2. Step 2

Create a new file by clicking on the word "File" at the top of the page. A list will appear. Click on "New" from the list. When a new screen appears, type in 2000 pixels for the height and width of the new image file and type in 300 DPI for the resolution of the image. Click "OK" when you have finished, and your image file will be ready to be designed.

  3. Step 3

Add a picture to your T-shirt design by using the "Print Screen" method. Locate a picture online that you wish to use, then press the button on your computer called "Print Screen." It is usually located in conjunction with the "Sys. Req." button, both of which are above the number to the right of the keyboard. Once you press the button, go back into Photoshop. Click on the word "Edit," located next to "File," and select "Paste." The picture will appear inside your T-shirt design.

  4. Step 4

Crop off any unwanted pieces of the picture by clicking on the marquee tool, located inside the toolbox to the right of the Photoshop screen. Highlight the areas you want to crop out in your image. Click on the word "Edit," then select "Clear." The unwanted portions will disappear from your image.

  5. Step 5

Save the image file by clicking "File," then "Save As." A screen will come up for you to name the file, as well as to select the file type. Name the file whatever you wish, then select the file type "JPEG." Click "OK" when you are finished, and your Print Screen T-shirt design will be ready to upload to a print-on-demand website, such as Cafepress or Zazzle (See References Below.)
