How to Put Songs on a 2GB SanDisk Sansa MP3 Player?

The 2GB SanDisk Sansa MP3 player is affordable (retailing around $40 as of 2009) and has useful features, such as an FM tuner and voice recorder. The player also comes with a MicroSD slot for expanding the memory up to 4 gigabytes. The SanDisk Sansa MP3 player plays most music files, including MP3 and WMA formats. Please note: The 2GB SanDisk Sansa MP3 player is compatible only with Windows operating systems.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2GB SanDisk Sansa MP3 player installation CD 2GB SanDisk Sansa MP3 player USB cable
  1. Step 1

    Insert the installation CD in your computer's CD drive and follow the prompts until installation is complete. (If you do not want to install the Rhapsody add-on, select "No" when prompted.)

  2. Step 2

    Connect the USB cable to your PC and Sansa MP3 player. The USB dock is located on the bottom of the player.

  3. Step 3

    Double-click on the My Computer folder located on the desktop. Locate and double-click on your SanDisk Sansa MP3 player, which should be under "Removable Drives."

  4. Step 4

    Locate and open the folder containing your music files.

  5. Step 5

    Click on the music file you want to add to your MP3 player. To select multiple files, press and hold the "Ctrl" key while clicking on the files.

  6. Step 6

    Drag the selected music files to the Sansa MP3 window. Release the mouse button, and the music files will begin to transfer to the Sansa MP3 player.

  7. Step 7

    Go back to the My Computer folder and click to select 2GB SanDisk Sansa MP3 player. Right-click and select "Eject," then remove the USB cable to the PC.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can upgrade your 2GB SanDisk Sansa MP3 player up to 4 gigabytes by purchasing a 2 gigabyte MicroSD card.
