How to Create a Hyperlink in Photoshop thumbnail
An embedded hyperlink turns a photo into a clickable Web link.

A Web page has three aspects: appearance, content and structure. Part of the structure involves hyperlinks that connect the page to other pages on the site or elsewhere on the Web. Embed hyperlinks in image files by using Photoshop's Slice tool.

Instructions

    • 1

Open an image file in Photoshop either by double-clicking on the file or going to the File menu, selecting "Open" and browsing to the file's location on your computer.

    • 2

Select the Slice Select tool from the toolbar. This tool looks like a utility knife with a cursor arrow sticking out from it.

    • 3

Double-click anywhere in the image to open the Slice Options dialog box.

    • 4

Name the image in the "Name" box.

    • 5

Enter the URL of the page or site you'd like the hyperlink to point to in the URL box. Include the entire protocol for the URL; many websites, for instance, will require "http://" before their names.

    • 6

Click "OK" to close the Slice Options box.

    • 7

Go to the File menu and click “Save for Web and Devices.” Press the "Save" button in the dialog box that appears. In the next dialog box, name the file again and set "Save as type" to "HTML and Images." Click "Save" to save the image with the hyperlink embedded.
