If you don’t want to spend the money buying antiperspirant, or you are caught in a bind and need some antiperspirant right away, you can make some using products you may already have in your home. It literally only takes minutes to make a batch, yet that batch will keep for several months. If you don’t have essential oil, you can pick it up at most any natural products store or shop that stocks home fragrances.
Things You'll Need
- Baking soda
- Essential oil
- Two small bowls
- Distilled water
- Witch hazel
Create an antiperspirant powder. Put 1/2 cup of cornstarch and 1/2 cup of baking soda in a small bowl, such as a cereal bowl. Stir with a spoon to mix.
Use an eyedropper to add 10 drops of an essential oil of your choice. You can use one scent or mix two or more together to create your own signature perfume.
Make a spray-on antiperspirant. Pour a 1/4 cup of room-temperature distilled water and an 1/8 cup of vodka (80 proof or higher) into another bowl. Stir.
Add five drops of an essential oil, or oils, of choice to the dish. Add 1 tbsp. of witch hazel. Stir. Add another 2 tbsp. of witch hazel, stirring constantly as you add each one. This helps the mixture become uniform faster.
