We all have T-shirts that we no longer wear but can not bear to throw out. It may be that the shirts no longer fit or have stains. Or it may be that the shirts have logos that hold memories, but are no longer the "look" or style you want to present to the world. Dig out those old shirts and relive the memories of those logos by transforming the old T-shirts into reusable shopping bags. Not only will you be helping the earth, you will also be turning heads with your one-of-a-kind totes.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Cut off the sleeves of the T-shirt above the seams with a sharp pair of scissors. Use an inward curve as you cut to help make the handles of the bags more user friendly.

  2. Step 2

Cut out the neck of the shirt making a deeper scoop but leaving enough material to be the handles of the bag.

  3. Step 3

Turn the shirt inside out and sew up the bottom. You can do this either by hand or by using a sewing machine.

  4. Step 4

Turn the shirt right side out and shop in style.
