Take your Scrapbooking and creativity to the next level by creating a Birthday Banner with your loved one in mind.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Pictures of your loved one
  • A variety of 12x12 Heavy Scrapbook pages
  • pictures
  • stickers
  • laminating material
  • scrapbook glue or tapes
  1. Step 1

First, cut out your banner pennants. You will need one for each letter of your loved ones name. Each pennant should be 8" high by 12" long from heavier 12x12 Scrapbook paper. My son's name is "Nash", so I cut out 8, four for each letter of his name, and an extra two for each side of his name. I cut them from various colors that blended well together.

  2. Step 2

Next, Stencil or print your loved ones name using a single pennant for each letter, (see picture for an example).

  3. Step 3

Cut out and arrange your pictures and pieces of paper according to your taste and creative expectations. Keep it as simple as you like, or as complex.

  4. Step 4

Finish by adding any stickers that may be appropriate or perhaps a bit of glitter and penache. Some ideas include decorating with flowers, shapes, copies of report cards, or sport awards.

  5. Step 5

Protect each pennant on your banner with clear laminating material. I use clear contac plastic to protect mine. Finish by punching 4 holes across the 8" side of the pennant, and then use a ribbon to weave through the punched holes and to hang the pennant across a wall, between trees, or wherever your party may be.

Tips & Warnings
  • There are so many ways that you could decorate each pennant. Be creative, and try to keep with the personality and character of your Birthday person.
  • Store your pennant in a box that will keep the pennants from getting bent.
  • Protect your originals by making copies to use in your arrangements.
