Things You'll Need:
- Bottle or cup for ice water
-
Step 1
IncredibleInedibles.ComCount how many ounces of soda you consume in each day for a week. Divide by 2. This number is your goal for week one consumption.
Example: 2 (12oz. cans of soda per day) x 7 days = 168 ounces per week
168 ounces / 2 = 84 ounces maximum allowed soda consumption for week 1 (about 7 cans). You will replace the other 84 ounces you'll be missing with ice water. -
Step 2
PromoteHealth.InfoAt the end of week one, look back to see if you stuck to your goal. Divide the amount of soda you drank during week 1 in half. This is your new goal for week 2. Again, replace soda with ice water. Carrying a water bottle full of ice water is the best way to stay on track.
-
Step 3
DietsInReview.comRepeat the process for week three. By now you should start noticing a positive change in your mood. Some people fear they need the caffeine from soda, but you can acquire that through plain black coffee, which has no corn syrup and other harmful chemicals in it. At this point, you are ready to go a week without soda altogether.

Step 4
HealthyLivingTip.comAfter one month, if you stuck to it and maintained a healthy diet with the rest of your food, you should lose some weight. I guarantee you will feel much better about your health simply by cutting soda from your diet.
