get rid of fruit flies - Looking to get rid of fruit flies in your home? This article will give you several steps to help you get rid of fruit flies and the frustrations on living with them.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

There are several cases where people have extremely clean homes and still need to get rid of fruit flies. This is when most become extremely frustrated. My advice to you is to first look within 20' of the location for stagnate water or spoiled food. Bags of potatoes or fruit can be major causes of fruit flies. You should also look under your kitchen and bathroom sinks for leaks. Puddles of water dripping mixed with food can be a playground for fruit flies.

  2. Step 2

Another place you want to check when getting rid of fruit flies is where your pets eat. Food bowls, and water dishes together are bad news. When food and water mix it becomes a playground for the fruit flies and makes them tougher to get rid of.

  3. Step 3

Suggestions for cleaning to get rid of fruit flies. Dish wash pet bowls and bleach around them. Buy a can of fruit fly spray and use when necessary. Once clean leave a bowl of juice and cut up fruit close to where the fruit flies are. Place plastic rap over the bowl and poke several small holes in it. The fruit flies will enter for a feast and become stuck in the bowl. Wait a day and go back down with the bug spray to kill the rest. Works like a charm!
