How to Squidoo To Make Money Online

Squidoo is a great resource to make extra money online. However, if you are looking for a get rich quick system, this article is not for you. Squidoo is a fun, easy to use, publishing platform and community that you can join for free. You then create Squidoo "lenses", which are your own pages regarding any topic you choose. The following steps will show you how to take this free resource and turn those lenses into residual income each month!

1. Sign up for a free Squidoo account (homepage link in the resource section). You will need to create a user name and password and answer a few quick questions.

2. Pick the topic that you will write your first lens on. The ones with the best content are usually the result of the writers passion on that subject. For example, if your hobby is golfing then a golf lens will be fun to write and your content will likely be great.

3. Browse the site and find other lenses to learn from (I attached an example of mine below in the resources if you're interested). Check out the content and layout of the page, as well as the modules and links that they provide. Also visit the Squidoo forum, there is some great advice and resources to help you get started. Remember, you want to make money from Squidoo so knowledge is power!

4. Create your first Squidoo lens! Your first time can be a bit tricky and may take a while but each one after gets easier. Test out different themes and modules to determine what you'd like your page to look like. Next, fill it with great content that will be helpful to readers.

5. Promote affiliate links on your page! Even if you are not officially an affiliate with any program (such as Commission Junction, Amazon affiliates, or the Ebay affiliate program), you can still place profitable modules on your page. For example, add an Ebay module and an Amazon module to your page. Now edit them to match your content, you can even have Amazon or Ebay choose the products for you by entering a keyword. Squidoo will then pay you for any instance that a person clicks on one of those ads and ends up making a purchase within a certain time frame. So as an example, if your golf lens has golf clubs advertised in your Amazon module and someone clicks and purchases that day, you make a commission from that!

6. Promote your Squidoo lens and get ranked! It is important to get views and visitors to your new page. Squidoo pays each lens master a share of the Google Ad Sense revenue that it receives each month as long as they are ranked well. To get a higher rank, visit the Squidoo forums to get feedback and views from fellow members and promote your page to friends and family.

7. Analyze and edit your stats often. See how many views your lens is getting, where it is coming from, and how many click outs are occurring. If you feel your lens needs some editing, this can be done at anytime. Just make sure you save and publish those changes.

8. Create more lenses! Squidoo encourages you to write more which can help you earn more money online. Just make sure you don't sacrifice quality for quantity. If written and promoted well, your new Squidoo lens(es) will begin earning residual income month after month!
