Things You'll Need:
- Internet
- Twitter Account
-
Step 1
Go to Hashtags.org to find out what the current and most popular tags are being used. For instance, if you have an article or blog post about an eco-friendly idea or item, you'd use #eco-friendly, and if you were looking for tags to promote your handmade jewelry, you might want to use the following tags: #handmade, #etsy, #jewelry.
Use the search box to find additional tags, but remember to use the most popular ones to maximize your visibility. -
Step 2
Compose your tweet - keeping in mind that you want to save enough room to add one or two hashtags. You can also use a format that is similar to this: How to #Recycle Silica Gel Packets [followed by the URL for your blog or article post]. Using the '#' with a keyword in your title that is applicable to a hashtag is a great way to keep your tweet condensed but still readable and searchable.
-
Step 3
Once you've composed your tweet, click Update from your Twitter profile (or whatever app you are using to post Tweets).
Your tweet will now be added to the hashtag search results!
