Pack your Beach Bag Carefully

Summer is here and most people will be heading out to the pool or beach. That means that you will be packing a beach bag to go with you to carry all of the necessary items to get you through the day. Whether you are going to the beach or the pool, here is how to pack the perfect beach bag with all of the items you will need.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Beach Bag or Beach Tote
  • Sunscreen
  • Flip flops
  • Beach Towel
  • Books or Audio books
  • Magazines
  • Music
  1. Step 1

Pack Sun Protection, such as the following:
    - First and foremost make sure that you take lots of sunscreen in a high SFP. The sunscreen should be broad spectrum to filter out UVA and UVB rays
    - Don't forget to also take lip balm with a high SPF as well.
    - Finally pack those sunglasses. Make sure they filter out both UVA and UVB rays.

  2. Step 2

Pack the appropriate clothing, such as the following:
    - Take flip flops or sandals
    - Take a cover-up for your swimsuit. A t-shirt works well for this.
    - Take an extra change of clothes in case you go somewhere after the beach.
    - Take a hat to shield some of the sun's rays.

  3. Step 3

Pack Entertainment such as the following:
    - Books and audio books
    - mp3 players with music
    - Magazines
    - Crossword puzzles
    - Radio

  4. Step 4

Pack Beach Items such as the following:
    - Beach towel. In fact pack two. That way if one gets wet you still have a dry one to use. The extra towel can also be rolled up and used as a pillow
    - Bug Repellant. If you have ever been to the beach at night you know that bug repellant is a must

  5. Step 5

Pack Snacks such as the following:
    - At the very least throw in a bottle or two of water.
    - Take easy snacks such as chips, granola bars, trail mix etc.
    - Take candy or gum that is easy to eat. Stay away from chocolate and items that will melt.
