As a general, everyday toilet bowl cleaner, pour 1 cup of white vinegar in your toilet bowl every night before you go to bed. In the morning, swish a toilet bowl brush around the inside of the toilet bowl and flush the water.

If your toilet bowl has heavier stains or as a weekly thorough cleaning: In a pail, mix 1 cup of hydrogen peroxide, 2 tablespoons of ammonia and 2 cups of hot water. Pour the mixture into your toilet bowl. Let it sit for about an hour, with a toilet bowl brush, scrub the inside of the toilet bowl and flush. Use gloves and do not inhale the fumes.

If your toilet bowl still has a ring inside after using the above cleaner: wet a piece of "00" sandpaper and gently sand to remove the ring. Don't vigorously scrub with the sandpaper because it will scratch the inside of your toilet bowl.
