How to Delete History in Firefox

By default, the Firefox Web browser saves the name, URL, time and date of every website you visit. This record makes up your browsing history. Other people who use your computer can view your browser history to see where you go and what you do online. You can clear you Firefox history at any time if you are concerned about what someone else may find out about your from your Web browsing sessions using the browser.

        Launch Firefox.

        Click the orange "Firefox" button in the upper-left corner of the program window and click the right-pointing arrow to the right of "History." Click "Clear Recent History."

        Click the drop-down menu to the right of "Time range to clear" and select "Everything." Alternatively, select the option to clear only your history from the last hour, two hours, four hours or today, if you prefer.

        Click to place a check mark in the box to the left of any additional items you want to clear beneath Details. You can clear your browsing and download history, cache, cookies, active logins and other information.

        Click "Clear Now." The history you elected to delete will be deleted from Firefox.
