If you are considering law school I'm sure that no one has to tell you of the importance of applying to an ABA accredited law school. There are many law schools in the country that lack ABA accreditation, but if you are serious about your law school aspirations and your legal career, you will want to stay away from those schools. Follow these steps if you want to learn how to find an ABA accredited law school.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

POINT YOUR BROWSER TO THE AMERICAN BAR ASSOCIATION WEBSITE

The American Bar Association (ABA) is responsible for setting the academic standards of law schools in the United States. There is a link to the ABA website below.

  2. Step 2

HOVER YOUR MOUSE, THEN CHOOSE THE CORRECT LINK

Once you have reached the ABA website, you will need to hover your mouse on the link that reads "LEGAL EDUCATION."

From there a drop down menu will appear. Now you will need to actually click on the link that reads "APPROVED LAW SCHOOLS.'

  3. Step 3

CHOOSE YOUR PREFERRED LAW SCHOOL SEARCH METHOD AND YOU'RE DONE!

From the legal education page you will be allowed to search for ABA accredited law schools in a variety of different ways: Geographical, Alphabetical, Public Law Schools, Private Law Schools, etc. Look on the upper far right hand side of the page in order to view those options.

If you are planning to go to law school, make sure that you receive the best legal education possible by choosing only ABA accredited law schools. Good Luck on your law school aspirations!

Tips & Warnings
  • Because websites are re-designed every now and then it is possible that some of these methods may be rearranged. If that happens you have two choices: shoot me an email and I will get you the new specifics, or contact the ABA directly @ 800.285.2221
