Chuzzle is a fun match-three computer game of furry googly-eyed little fuzz balls. They remind me of those little pompom creatures we made in elementary schools and stuck on our desks.

Here are some gaming hints and tips to help you win at Chuzzle.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer
  • Chuzzle game
  • Gaming skills
  1. Step 1

Chuzzle is a fun and terribly addictive match-three game. To earn points and move up levels you must find and create sets of three or more of the colorful fuzzy characters. You do this by clicking on a Chuzzle and dragging or sliding him with your mouse to the match position.

  2. Step 2

But, this game is different than your usual match-three games like Bejeweled and Swap It, because matches do not need to be in a straight row or column. You can also make matches in an L-shape or 2 x 2 square and this brings a whole new set of challenges and strategies to your game play.

  3. Step 3

Speed is key when playing Chuzzle. If you let the meter at the bottom of the screen become full one of the fuzzy Chuzzles will get locked down in a mini handcuff and you will be unable to move him to make a match.

Although, making a match with the locked up chuzzle will earn you more points if you have too many locked you won't be able to make any matches and it will be game over.

  4. Step 4

Try to create matches of more than three Chuzzle characters. These combos will earn you mega points.

When putting together a match look at the colors above and below the Chuzzles you are matching. Those fuzzy guys are going to drop into the empty space left by the match you just created. Sometimes sliding a Chuzzle just one more space right-left or up-down can make the difference in getting only one match or making a chain reaction earning you lots and lots of bonus points.

  5. Step 5

There are some special characters in the Chuzzle game you should keep your eyes out for.

GIANT CHUZZLES: The giant Chuzzle is definitely my least favorite of the special Chuzzles. He takes up the space of four Chuzzles, you can't move him off the screen and when you do move this giant Chuzzle, you move two rows or columns at the same time.

    And to make matters worse the giant Chuzzle, despite taking up 4 spaces still only counts as one Chuzzle so you still need to match him with at least two other Chuzzles.;

The only positive is when you do clear the giant Chuzzle he helps to fill the beaker faster which will move you to the next level quicker.

  6. Step 6

Another special character is the locked Chuzzle that I mentioned before. He looks so sad with the handcuff wrapped around his furry head and you need to break him free as soon as possible.

This is challenging because you can't move the row or column he is in until he's freed. So you need to maximize your combos of the surrounding Chuzzles to drop matching colors to the locked up Chuzzle location. This will take some looking ahead and strategizing what colored Chuzzles will drop where.

  7. Step 7

My favorite special Chuzzle characters are the blinking Chuzzles. They are like little suicide bombers, but are not only destructive in nature they are loaded with points. When you make a match with the blinking Chuzzle the match doesn't just disappear it explodes taking the several of the surrounding Chuzzles with him. This gives you mega points and a whole new board to start matching.

  8. Step 8

When you are stuck, you're stuck but don't rush to click on the hint button just yet. Getting hints will cost you.

If no matches are jumping out at you look at the colors at the top, bottoms of the columns and sides of the rows. You might have two marching colors with a space in between and an orange at the top of a column you can just slide right down into it. Or two matching colors stacked on top of each other and there match is waiting for you to slide underneath from the end of the row.

  9. Step 9

If you are really stuck, go ahead and hit that HINT button, your beaker will go down a bit but just move swiftly and make some combos to build it back up and win at Chuzzle.
