Get your newborn to Stop Crying

Many of us are scared of having a baby because we think we are unprepared. Although having a baby is a huge responsibility it is not hard as you think to keep a baby happy.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

The first thing you need to know when a baby is crying is the three reasons babies usually cry. One reasons a baby will continue to cry is because they are sleepy. The second reason a baby will cry is because the child may be hungry. Finally the third reason your baby will cry is if they are wanting their diaper changed.

  2. Step 2

The first thing you want to do when a baby continues to cry is pick them up and check their diaper to see if they are wet, or did number 2. If your baby diaper is soaked then change their diaper and wipe them down real good. After you get the babies diaper changed attempt to rock them to sleep if its time for them to lay down. If it isn't their bedtime yet hold them and sing your child some songs and talk to them.

  3. Step 3

If you have checked your child's diaper and the baby is still crying feed them and see if they will eat. When a child is very hungry they will suck the bottle very hard when you put it in their mouth. If your baby has eaten, and had their diaper changed and they are still screaming they want to held. A great way to get a fussy baby to stop crying is to walk around the house with them in your arms.

Tips & Warnings
  • The longer you are around your child the faster you learn to recognize the different screams your child makes.
