How to Play MP3 on a Tungsten E
The Palm Tungsten E2 comes preloaded with RealPlayer, which makes the PDA an MP3 player as well. However, due to the Tungsten's limited internal memory, an SD/MMC expansion memory card is required. This article will show you how to transfer MP3 files from the computer to the SD/MMC memory card and how to play them on the Palm Tungsten E2.
Things You'll Need
- SD (Secure Digital) or MMC (MultiMedia Card) memory card USB SD/MMC memory card reader (Optional if computer does not have SD/MMC card input) 3.5mm stereo headphones

Transfering MP3 Files to SD/MMC Memory Card

Insert SD/MMC Memory Card into the SD/MMC input. If the computer does not have a SD/MMC input insert the memory card into the USB SD/MMC memory card reader and insert the USB cable into the USB input of the computer.

Create a folder on the memory card for the MP3 files, i.e. "Tungsten Music."

Locate and open the folder on the computer containing the MP3 files.

Select the music files and drag and drop these files to the music folder on the memory card. Once transfer is complete, remove the memory card and insert it to the Tungsten E2.

Insert (label side facing the display screen) the SD or MMC Memory Card to the Tungsten expansion slot.

Attach headphones.

From the Palm Desktop open RealPlayer.

Select Songs and select Done.

Tips & Warnings
A 128mb SD/MMC memory card is suggested for MP3 storage, but a 1 to 2gb card would be optimal. Obtain a 1 to 4gb SD/MMC memory card for MP3/Video storage.
