How to Remove KGB Keylogger

KGB Keylogger is a spyware that works in the stealth mode and is invisible to the computer user. It takes screenshots of the PC activity, records all of the logged keys, including passwords and user names, and private chat conversations. Although classified as a spyware, this product is a legit keylogging software designed for monitoring computer activity in small offices and at home. While very convenient for the person who installed the software, it robs you of any privacy and/or personal data. However, this application can be removed easily.

Instructions

Ending KGB Keylogger System Processes

1. Click "Ctrl," "Shift" and "Esc" keys on your keyboard at the same time to bring up the Task Manager.

2. Click on the "Processes" tab.

3. Select the "systems.exe," "uninstall.exe" and "winlogons.exe" processes and click on the "End Process" button in the Task Manager window.

Unregistering KGB Keylogger .dll Files

1. Click on the "Start" menu and then click on "Run."

2. Type "cmd" and press "Enter" on your keyboard to bring up the command line dialogue window.

3. Type "regsvr32/u systemdll.dll" and press "Enter" on your keyboard to unregister the DLL.

4. Repeat Step 3 for winlogon.dll.

Deleting KGB Keylogger Registry Keys

1. Click on "Start" and select "Run."

2. Type "regedit" and press "Enter" on your keyboard to bring up the Registry Editor.

3. Find and delete the following keys:
   HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\explorer\fileexts\.mdb
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\uninstall\kgb keylogger displayversion
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\uninstall\kgb keylogger helplink
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\uninstall\kgb keylogger helptelephone
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\uninstall\kgb keylogger publisher
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\uninstall\kgb keylogger urlinfoabout
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\uninstall\kgb keylogger urlupdateinfo

Deleting KGB Keylogger Files

1. Go to "Start" menu and click on "Search."

2. Select the "All Files and Folders" option.

3. Type "kgb keylogger.lnk" and press "Enter"; then delete the found file.

4. Repeat Step 4 for the following files: kgb keylogger.lnk, buy online!.lnk, alert.txt, razil_portuguese.lng, buyonline.url, catalan.lng, dutch.lng, farsi.lng, file_id.diz, finnish.lng, french.lng, german.lng, help.chm, help.lnk, hungarian.lng, italiano.lng, key.txt, kgb spy, kgb spy.lnk, ksp.ini, lang.txt, license.txt, options.ini, path.txt, polish.lng, portuguese.lng, readme.txt, russian.lng, spanish.lng, systemdll.dll, systems.exe, traditionalchinese.lng, ukrainian.lng, uninstall.exe, uninstall.ini, uninstall.lnk, vietnam.lng, visit homepage.lnk, visithomepage.url, window.txt, winlogon.dll and winlogons.exe.

5. Restart your computer.
