How to Design Blank Journals
Creating your own blank journal can be done with materials you may already have lying around your home. Customizing and designing a blank journal gives the journal a more personal feel. Designing your own blank journal can be done within a matter of minutes.
Things You'll Need
- 75 Sheets 8 x 11 loose-leaf notebook paper 2 Sheets 8 x 11 unlined paper 2 Pieces 8 x 11 white cardboard Heavy duty 3-hole puncher Yarn Decorative items (glitter, photos, markers, glue, etc.)

Decorate two pieces of white cardboard using items such as glitter, photographs and markers. One will be the front cover of your journal and the other will be the back cover. If using glue, allow the pieces to dry completely.

Stack 10 sheets of notebook paper evenly and place them in the hole puncher. Punch holes in these papers. Repeat this step until all 75 sheets of notebook paper, both sheets of unlined paper and the cardboard all have been punched.

Place a sheet of unlined paper on top of the loose-leaf notebook paper and place the other blank sheet underneath the stack. Place the front decorated cardboard cover on top of the papers and the back cover on the bottom.

Use a four-inch piece of yarn to thread through the top hole. Tie it in a double knot to hold the papers in place. Do the same for the next two holes.
